Game & Livestock Cover
LIFE COVER
Provides comprehensive coverage for the death of insured animals due to illness, injury, accidents, fire, lightning, predation (if applicable), dystocia, theft, and poaching (if applicable) as outlined in the Policy Wording.
CAPTURE (GAME ONLY)
Covers death of animals directly attributable to process of capture. Capture limited to darting of animals by a registered
Veterinarian Surgeon. Includes Loading cover as defined below.
LOADING
Provides cover against death of animals during the loading process onto a transport vehicle or crate until the first hoof touches the floor of truck.
TRANSIT
Provides cover against death of animals during transportation from the agreed starting point to the off-loading location.
Includes Step-off cover as defined below.
STEP-OFF
Provides cover against death as insured animals disembark from the transporting vehicle at the off-loading destination during the insured event.
FIRE & LIGHTNING ONLY
Covers death of animal resulting from fire or lightning incidents.
AUCTION
Protects against losses of animals bought or sold at public auctions, subject to adherence to terms and conditions specified in auction catalogues or quotes.
BOMA COVER (GAME ONLY)
Extends coverage to include mortality while animals are kept in a boma.
BUFFALO TEST PACK (GAME ONLY)
Offers life cover for insured buffalo during the period in the boma as well as the darting of the animals for testing.
A maximum of three darts are included in the Buffalo Test Cover. The first dart to bring the animal into the boma / holding camp,
the second dart 3 days later for reading skin results, and the third dart for loading the animal for transportation.
INFERTILITY COVER (LIVESTOCK ONLY)
Cover is extended to include total and permanent impotence, infertility or failure to achieve intromission resulting from an accident, sickness or disease sustained or contracted during
the policy period.
